Sale of Disposal OF IT Equipment, Office Furniture and Tents

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) invites interested bidders to participate in a closed bid exercise for the sale of

• Lot 1 – Computer Equipment: This lot comprises 355 laptops, 30 CPUs/system units, 128 monitors, 30 iPads/tablets, 19 Wi-Fi devices, and 59 mobile phones.
• Lot 2 – Audio-Visual and Communication Equipment: This lot comprises 23 cameras, 161 audio-visual equipment items, and 21 TVs and TV stands, while manual radios are included among the 30 listed items.
• Lot 3 – Printing, Document Management and Office Machines: This lot comprises 27 units, including printers and fax machines, with additional fax machines included in the mixed lot. It also includes 100 units of toner and binding machines.
• Lot 4 – Office Furniture: This lot comprises 8 tables with drawers, 11 swivel chairs, 1 drawer, 119 miscellaneous scrap furniture items.
• Lot 5 – Tents: This lot comprises 4 tents.

The bid itemsare to be sold “as is, where is” without recourse to warranties of any kind. Bid with some information will be available from 01 June2026 – 29 June 2026 on UN working hours and days from Monday to Thursday morning time between 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM afternoon time15:00PM to 17:00PM and on Friday 9:00 AM to 13:00 PM.

Physical inspection will specifically take place on the following dates:September 2026:28, 30and October 2026:2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16 and 19 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Interested bidders may collect the bid document from the Procurement Unit, in Room no. NG.4S.04of its Secretariat Building (Niger) in the ECA compound at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, during working hours, starting from 27September2026 – 19 October 2026on UN working hours and days from Monday to Thursday morning time between 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM afternoon time15:00PM to 17:00PM and on Friday 9:00 AM to 13:00 PM.

The closing dateof the bid submission will be on19 October 2026at 16:00 PM, and the opening will be on 21 October 2026at 10:00AM. No Proposal shall be received after this deadline. Bidders shoulddeposit Birr 200 in United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UN ECA) account No.1000090977858 and collect bid document from Supply Chain Management Section Procurement unit 4th floor Room No.NG.4S.04.

Bidders will be expected to submit a bid bond of 10% of the total bid amountin theform of CPO as a guarantee to participate in closed bid exercise.

The 10% Bid bond will not be returned to the awarded bidder who failed to collect his/her award.

Submission of bid because ofanother bid is strictly prohibited.

The Economic Commission for Africa reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received whenever such rejection is in the interest of the organization.
