Invitation to Bid for External Audit Service

Pastoralist Community Initiative and Development Assistance (PACIDA) is a development and humanitarian organization that empowers pastoralist organization communities through sustainable, community-driven development Scope interventions. PACIDA is registered in Ethiopia under the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Agency for Civil Society Organizations with registry number 5323.

PACIDA hereby invites qualified and eligible external audit firms to submit proposals to audit its accounts for the project entitled: "One Health Approach to Build Resilience of the Semi-Nomadic Population in the Dire Woreda of Borena zone in Ethiopia."

The selected audit firm will be expected to prepare project-specific audit reports as required by the donor and the Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO). The audit will cover the period from 1 December 2022 to 31 December 2024. (10 box file).

Eligibility Requirements

Interested audit firms must submit evidence of the following:

1. Renewed professional license
2. Registration as certified or chartered accountants
3. Valid Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Value Added Tax (VAT) certificate
4. Renewed business license
5. Adequate and experienced personnel (relevant CVs)
6. Demonstrated experience in auditing international non-profit

Scope of Services

1. Audit the financial statements of the project for the period 1st December 2022 to 31st December 2024.
2. Audit financial statements and supporting documents prepared by PACIDA and provide an opinion on their fair presentation.
3. Conduct the audit in accordance with Accepted Accounting Standards and ACSO requirements.
4. Produce a Management Letter and a Financial Consolidation Society Report as key outputs.
5. PACIDA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids at any time prior to contract award without incurring any liability to the bidders.
