INVITATION TO BID FOR EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICE

Kaafi Microfinance Institution S.C was founded in 2022 in accordance with the 1960 Commercial Code of Ethiopia, the Micro-Financing Business Proclamation No. 626/2009, and other regulations enacted by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE).

The headquarters of Kaafi Microfinance Institution S.C is situated in Addis Ababa at Getu Commercial Business Center. At the moment, the organization has 22 branches spread over four areas of the nation: Addis Ababa, Somali, Oromia, Diredawa, and Hareri. Kaafi Microfinance Institution S.C invites all interested audit firms (bidders) by this Local Competitive Bid to perform an external audit service for 3 (three) consecutive fiscal years, starting from fiscal year ending 30 June 2025.

1. Terms of Reference (TOR) can be obtained from Kaafi Microfinance Institution S.C Head Office 3rd floor, office number 309, during office hours (Monday to Friday from 8:00 A.M to 5:00 PM), beginning from May, 2025 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 300.00 (Birr Three Hundred Only).
2. Eligible bidders are required to comply with the NBE directive NO.MFI/37/2024, "APPOINTMENT OF EXTERNAL AUDITOR OF A MICROFINANCE INSTITUTION DIR".
3. Eligible bidders are required to submit at least a valid and renewed business license, competence certificate from Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE), TIN, valid tax clearance, and VAT registration certificates.
4. Bidders are required to submit their bid proposals in wax sealed envelope to the following address:

5. Deadline for the submission of bid proposals is on June 10 2025, 04:00 P.M.
6. Bid proposals received in time and fulfilling bid formalities shall be opened in the presence of interested bidders or their representatives on June 17, 2025.
