Request for proposal of External Audit Services

Internet Society Ethiopia Chapter (ISOC Ethiopia) is a non-profit organization working on the development of the Internet ecosystem in Ethiopia. ISOC Ethiopia is registered at the FDRE Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO) with Reg. No: 4943 since June 10, 2020.

ISOC Ethiopia is seeking an external auditor to conduct to audit its financial transactions in accordance with the requirements of the ACSO. Eligible firms which fulfill the following requirements are invited to participate in this call:

Requirements to be fulfilled:

1. The Audit Firm is required to provide a complete company profile.
2. Has a renewed license from the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE) for the year 2017 E.C
3. Having all the required legal licenses, by ACSO, to conduct such auditing services to NGOs and CSOs.
4. Professional license of all auditors participating in the audit services.
5. Value Added Tax (VAT) registration certificate.
6. Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) Certificate.
7. Evidences of previous experience in providing similar services to NGOs and CSOs.

Scope of Work

1. The audit firm is expected to audit the ISOC Ethiopia's two fiscal years (2015 and 2016 E.C) financial transactions covering from ሐምሌ 01, 2014 E.C to ሰኔ 30, 2016 E.C.
2. The firm shall conduct the audit according to Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAAS) and Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Agency requirements.
3. The audit firm shall be based in Addis Ababa city.
4. Management letter and financial consolidation report are the vital outputs of the audit service.
5. In its proposal the firm shall present the fee and expenses to conduct the audit service.
6. The firm shall include any per diem costs associated with presenting the audit report physically during the General Assembly (in-person).
7. ISOC Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and annuls the bidding process at any time before contract award, without, thereby, incurring any liability to bidders.

Audit firms that meet the aforementioned requirements are kindly requested to submit in person their technical and financial proposals within two weeks from the announcement of this call on The Ethiopian Herald Newspaper during working hours in a sealed and stamped envelope via DHL courier to the address below.
