(Cargo Transportation by Trucks)

Raval Steel Manufacturing PLC invites sealed bids from qualified and eligible bidders for the provision of cargo transportation services using trucks for the following routes:

• Import Transport: Shipment of cargo from Djibouti to Bahir Dar.
• Domestic Distribution: Transportation of finished goods from Bahir Dar to various locations across Ethiopia.

1. Bid Eligibility & Requirements:- To participate in this bid, bidders must provide:

• A legal and renewed business license for the current fiscal year.
• Ownership or contractual access to a fleet of trucks suitable for cargo transportation and any other relevant legal documents as required by Ethiopian law.

2. Bid Document Collection: Interested bidders may obtain the bid documents from the Raval Steel Head Office, located at Bole, Ruanda Nisir Building, 8th Floor, logistics and supply chain department, or from the factory purchase department located at Bahir Dar during office hours. A non-refundable fee of ETB 100 (One Hundred Birr) is required for document purchase.
3. Bid Submission & Security:- Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Birr) in the form of a Certified Payment Order (CPO) or an Unconditional Bank Guarantee. Bidders must submit their proposals to the above-mentioned office on or before March 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM and late bids will not To be accepted.
4. Bid Evaluation & Contract Award:- A competitive bidder will be selected for a long-term contract. All eligible bidders will be listed as service providers and will have the opportunity to work with Raval Steel Manufacturing on a call basis whenever transport service requirements arise.

6. Provide a performance guarantee of ETB 500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Birr) during contract signing. Sign the contract within seven (7) days of receiving the award notice and immediately commence operations. Failure to do so will result in: Confiscation of the bid bond and cancellation from the winners' list.
   1. Bid Opening: Bids will be opened on March 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.
   2. Rights of the Company:- Raval Steel Manufacturing PLC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids at any stage prior to contract award without incurring any liability to bidders.
