EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICE

Introduction

Three Roots international (TRI) issues this Invitation to Bid with the intention of appointing a contract for the provision of external audit services, to TRI for the financial year that ended in 31 December 2024 to the year ending in 31 December 2026.

Three Roots International /TRI/ is an international Non-Profit Organization registered by the Authority for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO), under Registration No. 4931. The mission of TRI is to cultivate community development and economic capacity by empowering families through education, health, and income generating activities.

Since its establishment. Three Roots International (TRI) has set out to work towards eradicating extreme poverty in partnership with rural communities through operations in Ethiopia, specifically in the Bishoftu area.

Scope of the assignment

The audit should be carried out in accordance with the relevant standards of auditing and will include such tests and controls as the auditor may consider necessary

Detailed audit work should be carried out on the following:-

• Examining on a test basis, evidence supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements.
• Assessing the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by management.
• Evaluating the overall financial statement presentation.
• In addition, the auditor will also provide a management letter summarizing the observations on the accountability, compliance with the Ethiopian Government statutes, and internal control issues.
• In addition to the audit report, the auditors should provide an opinion on financial statements and feedback on internal control system weaknesses and ways of strengthening these

Eligible Firms are required to submit the following:

• Firm's profile including practicing certificates.
• Renewed trade license, VAT & TIN registration certificates.
• Evidence of experience and expertise of the firm within the not-for-profit sector.
• Evidence of experience in auditing financial statements prepared in accordance with government regulations.
• Experience and ability of the audit team to be assigned to this task.
• Duration of the audit and reporting timeline.
• Demonstrate the ability of the firm to "add value" rather than providing purely a compliance audit.
• Separate technical and financial proposal that clearly Indicates price with VAT.

During working hours to the address below in a sealed and stamped envelope.

The bid will close on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 5.30 pm.
