The International Community School of Addis Ababa (ICS) invites Interested bidders to submit price offers to purchase for the following used materials on an "AS IS" basis.

1. Used Classroom Furniture and Equipment (Used Tables, Chairs, Cupboards & Related)
2. Used Household Furniture and Appliances (Used Chest of Drawers, Stoves, Washing Machines, and Related).
3. Used IT Equipment (Used monitors, System units, Apple TVs, Laptops, and Related).
4. Used Toro mower tractor, John Deere Aerator, and Line Striping machine.
5. Used metal scraps, Woods, Carpets, Curtains, Electrical fixtures, and other scraps.

INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS:

1. Interested bidders can buy a bid document from the school's cashier office on working days and submit their offers from Tuesday, Dec 24, 2024, through Tuesday, Dec 31, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM by paying a non-refundable cash payment of Birr 200.00. The cashier office will be closed for lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Please note that WEDNESDAY, Dec. 25, 2024, will be closed for the holiday.
2. The scrap materials can be inspected at the International Community School compound on the mentioned dates and time frames.
3. Bid offers must be submitted at the latest by TUESDAY DEC 31, 2024, till 3:00 pm in a sealed envelope marked "BID OFFER" addressed to the International Community School of Addis Ababa and shall be inserted into a bid box prepared for this purpose at the school's Cashier Office.
4. A lump sum offer shall be made for designated LOTs, Individual offers for specific item will not be considered or accepted. Please note that ICS does not collect Value Added Tax (VAT) from this scrap sale.
5. Buyers are responsible for the safe removal of the scrap materials from ICS premises after paying the total winning bid amount.
6. The International Community School of Addis Ababa is unable to provide any assistance, either mechanical or manpower for the removal of the scrap materials.
7. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of 5% of the total offered value endorsed by certified cheque (CPO). Bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after the completion of the bid process. The bid bond of the successful winner will be considered with the total winning bid amount.

8. The successful bidder will be notified by a letter of award to make payment to the International Community School and remove the materials within 3 (THREE) working days after the date of announcement.
9. If the winner fails to pay the winning bid amount to the school and remove the awarded items within three working days, the school shall withhold the entire bid bond amount INCLUDING THE BID SECURITY SUBMITTED TO UNSUCCESSFUL LOTS and dispose of the scrap materials in any way it sees fit.
10. Bid offers will not be accepted after the closing date.
11. The International Community School of Addis Ababa reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids for any reason.

Bids should be marked as "Purchase of Scrap Materials" and submitted to the school's cashier office before or on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, till 3:00 pm.
