NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BID
Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor, hereinafter called as "the Main-Contractor," has entered into a contract agreement with Ethiopian Roads Administration (the Employer) for the Construction Works of Edo - Serofta - Warka Road project.
The Main Contractor wants to invite competent and professional bidders to submit sealed bids for providing the necessary labor, material and equipment for the intended Sub-Contract works of earthwork (cut to spoil) activities from Km 68+000 to 71+000 of the aforementioned project.
3. Edo - Serofta - Warka Road project is located in the West Arsi Zone of the Oromia Regional State connecting Dosola and Nansebo Weredas. The project road starts at Edo town which is about 300km from Addis Ababa via the Addis Ababa - Modjo - Shashemene - Dodola road. The project involves upgrading -75km of road with DC5road standard with Asphalt Concrete surfacing.
4. The Bid is open to all eligible bidders and the evaluation will be done as per qualification criteria specified and defined as shown below:

5. The bidder has to:
5.1 Submit proof of evidences (contract agreement, certified payment certificates, completion certificates, and the like...) for the general and specific experiences on projects that are completed as well as on going.
5.2 Present the listed below minimum equipment but not limited to those as required for the works to be sublated

5.3 Present the CVs and Testimonials documents of those professionals who are going to participate in the job.
5.4 Write a confirmation letter that the above machineries are at hand and ready for mobilization as of the instruction to commence the works to be sublated or as per work schedule.
5.5 Present detailed working methodology and Schedule as part of the technical document submission as specified in the technical specification.
6. Interested and eligible bidders may obtain the bill of quantity of the works from the address given below from 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday.
7. Bidders shall submit their Bids in two envelopes, the first envelope labeled as "Technical Bid" and the second envelope "Financial Bid", separately sealed and the two envelopes sealed in another outer envelope. One Original and Two Copies of the bids have to be submitted.
8.The bid must be accompanied by a bid security, in CPO addressed to Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor, of ETB 200,000.00.
9. The Qualification information and Bid Security will be opened immediately after the submission deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend, at the address below.
10. The Bid shall be submitted within 20 calendar days of the invitation to bid announcement date and to be submitted up to 4:00 PM.
11. Bid must be delivered to the address specified below. One Original and Two Copies of the bids have to be submitted.
