Project Background

TechnoServe (TNS) is a nonpolitical, not for profit, nonsectarian international NGO that helps entrepreneurial men and women in poor areas of the developing world to build businesses that create income, opportunity and economic growth fortheir families, their communities and their countries. Currently, TNS is mainly implementing coffee initiative program, Horticulture, Nutrition Food Fortification. Livelihoods for Women and Youth and various projects across the regions of Ethiopia to help small- scale farmers and enterprises to boost their income by improving the quality of their farming process. We would like to engage a reputable audit firm to carry out the statutory and/or donor audit of TechnoServe Inc. Ethiopia country office for the financial year ending December 31, 2024. Up on the sole discretionof TechnoServe, the contract could be renewable for a maximum of three-year period.

Scope of Work

The objective of the audit is to obtain reasonable assurance that the financial statements reflect a true and fair view of the financial position of TechnoServe Inc. Ethiopia. The audit will be performed in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards ("IPSAS") and International Standards on Auditing ("ISA"). The audit report will include an Independent Auditors Report (Opinion) on the financial statements.

The audit will also include such other required schedules or analyses as required by specific donors for donor audits. The auditors should assess the organization's compliance with the provisions of the Civil Societies Organization of Ethiopia and the relevant applicable regulatory authorities e.g. Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).

The successful External Auditor will cover the country office financial activities, which comprises of regional offices in several parts of Ethiopia. The audit will be in conformity with International Public Sector Accounting Standards ("IPSAS") and International Standards on

Auditing ("ISA"). The findings and recommendations shall include an action plan for TechnoServe Inc. Ethiopia organizational and accounting improvements depending on findings and its implications and shall accommodate management comments.
