Call for Translation Service Provider

IOM Ethiopia operates in Ethiopia's different regions. Because different regions of the country speak different languages, IOM needs the services of a professional Consultant to sufficiently translate written, audio, video, and voiceover content to effectively deliver its messages.

The IOM Ethiopia Mission seeks a registered Company or Individual Consultant who can accurately translate to and from English, Amharic, Oromiffa, Somali, Afar, Tigrinya, Nuer and Anuak-Gambela. The consultancy service will run for one year, with the possibility of extension. The contract also includes translation services in English, Portuguese, French, Arabic, and Kiswahili for IOM's Special Liaison Office in Addis Ababa (SLO). In addition, the Consultant is expected to provide voice-over services, as needed.

The contracted service provider is expected to:

• Professionally translate from/to English, Amharic, Oromiffa, Somali, Tigrigna, Afar, Nuer, AnuakGambela, Portuguese, French, Arabic, and Kiswahili.
• Ensure translation of written, audio and video files which is technically, linguistically, and grammatically correct, error-free and of high quality.
• Ensure English translations are written in Oxford style with correct grammar, and spelling, and allcontents in files are translated.
• Observe confidentially, refrain from divulging any information or contents of the files, and return the original files to IOM after completion of service. Submit voice-over files in high audio quality.

After collecting the ToRs, submit your Expression of Interest and Technical Proposal in soft copy to:iomethiopiacommunications@iom.int   and ychekol@  iom.  int as well as a hard copy to the International Organization for Migration, Ethiopia, Addis Ababa to the attention of:
