The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Ethiopian Public Health institutions has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Africa CDC Regional Investment Financing Program, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Waste Incinerator for Regional Laboratories.

The Ethiopian Public Health Institute now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Waste Incinerator for Regional Laboratories as indicated below:

  1. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" dated, July 2023 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  2. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian Public Health Institute Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and inspect the bidding document during office hours 8:30 AM - 12:30 AM and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday East African time at the address given below.
  3. The bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 500 /Five Hundred birr/. The method of payment will be in cash.
  4. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before the on 15 Oct, 2026, up to 2:00 PM starting from the date of this notice announced on Ethiopian Herald paper news and in UNDB. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders or their designated representatives or not have been present and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 15 Oct, 2026 at 2:30 PM opening date and time.
  5. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid security of USD 8,000.00 (Eight thousand) Or equivalent freely convertible currency for a lot in the form of unconditional bank Guarantee or CPO.
  6. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
