Amended Invitation to Bids

The Invitation to Bid for procurement of Vehicles posed on 17 September 2014 is amended and re-advertized. The amendments are made on the Bid Reference Number, and on date of Bid Submission which is extended from 30 October 2014 to 20 November 2014.

Contract Title: Procurement of Vehicles Double Cabin Diesel 4 WD Pick up with Field Kits and Spare Parts

Reference No. ICB MoWIE/IDA/OWNP/G-V/01-2014

1.      The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Project Advance Preparation, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Vehicles.

2.      The Ministry of Water Irrigation and Energy now invites sealed bids from eligiblebidders for Procurement of 45 units of Double Cabin Diesel 4 WD Pick up and 2 Station Wagon.

3.      Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods  under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers   January 2011 edition, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

4.       Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Water Irrigation and Energy, Procurement coordinator, Ato Kejela Fufa e-mail kanoliengineering@gmail.com and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 09:00AM to 05:00 PM at the address given below.

5.       A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submissionof a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 500 (Five Hundred Birr). The method of paymentwill be Cash against receipt. The document will be sent by air mail, surface mail, courier as appropriate or can also bedelivered to authorized agent of the bidders up on covering such costs by the bidder.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 20^th  November, 2014, 10:00AM. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly openedin the presence of the bidders' designated representatives and anyonewho choose to attend at the address below on 20^th November 2014, 10:30A.

7.      All bidsmust be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand or in freely convertible Currency.
