The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for procurement 22 units of diesel double cabin pick up with mandatory spare parts.

The Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA),Water and Sanitation Infrastructure Development Division  now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for procurement 22 units of diesel double cabin Pick-up with mandatory spare parts.

  Bidders shall furnish documentary evidence that it meets the following requirement(s): (i) Bidders must have undertaken at least 2 (two) Contracts successfully completed implementations of the supply and delivery of goods each contract having an amount of USD 2,500,000 with a similar Size, nature and complexity during the last 5 (Five ) years supported with names of clients, type and value of contracts), (ii) audited financial statements of the firm for the last three years to confirm an average annual financial turnover of USD 7,000,000.00, (iii) documentary evidences Liquid asset and credit facility of USD 4,000,000.00, (iv) documentary evidences (Necessary operation manuals, Product data sheet, brochures and/or catalogue, Product ISO and Quality certificate should be submitted with the bid in compliance to the specification.

Margin of preference is not applicable to this bid.

 Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011 and revised July 2014(“Procurement Guidelines”) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines.  In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from AAWSA- Water and Sanitation Infrastructure Development Division and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 8:30 am -12:30 pm in the morning and 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the afternoon at the address given below.

A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Ethiopian Birr (ETB) 700.00 (ETB seven hundred only).

The method of payment will be in cash or deposit to the Bank account of the project office which is 1000024625153 at commercial bank of Ethiopia Megenagna branch.  

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 20 December 2019 at 2:00pm. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 20 December 2019 at 2:30pm.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 500,000 (ETB Five hundred thousand only) or equivalent in freely convertible currency in the form of Bank Guarantee or CPO counter guaranteed by a Bank in a Purchaser’s country  in the name of Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) Water and Sanitation  Infrastructure Development Division.
