1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the lowlands livelihood resilience project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments for procurement of Office Furniture for Regional Project Coordination Unit, Office Equipment’s for Range land Cluster Support Team, Regional Project Coordination Unit, Project Woredas and Network Equipment and Technology Requirements. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
2. The LLRP- Afar Low land Livelihood Resilience Project now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders.

The following lists of Items to be procured are;

3. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement Regulations, and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from LLRP- Afar Project Coordination Unit, Tel. 0336660184/88 samara and inspect the bidding document during office hours 2:00- 5:30 morning local time and 9:00-11:30 Afternoon Local Time at the address given below Afar Region samara city, Low Lands Livelihood Resilience Project (LLRP) the project office Around Afar Design and Supervision Works Enterprise, Next to VSF Germany Office. Tele no. 033-666-01-88 

5.      The bidding document may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 200.00 (Two Hundred Birr Only). The method of payment will be on cash at our project office.  And the document shall be taken in person.

6.   Bids must be delivered to the address LLRP- Afar Coordination Unit- Samara at or before 10:00 A.M on 26/03/2021 Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address Afar Region- LLRP – Afar Coordination Unit at Management hall Room number.02 on On 26/03/2021 G.C 10;30A.M

7.   A bidder who shall participate in all the lots must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Birr 20,000 for LOT I Birr 60,000 for LOT II Only birr 15, 000.00 For LOT III in the form of CPO or  Bank Guarantee.  

8.   If the purchaser firm got another Best Alternative shall have a right to reject the bid fully or partially.
