1.       This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDP online and on the African Development Bank Group's Internet Website dated 21st February 2024.

2.       The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Climate Resilient Wheat Value Chain Development (CREW) Project, P-ET-AA-020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Supply of Motorcycles.

3.       Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of various goods and items packaged under the different lots indicated in the table below:

4.       Bidding will be conducted through Open Competitive Bidding National procedures in accordance with the African Development Bank's Procurement

Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015 and is all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.

5.       Interested eligible bidders may bid for the above listed goods and may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the office address given below in the morning from 8:30 A.M to 12:30 P.M and in the afternoon from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday.

6.       A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 1000.00 (One thousand Birr). The method of payment will be through bank transfer to Acc. No 1000009144009 Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE)

7.       The Bid must be valid for a period of 120 (one hundred twenty) days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by an original bid security of ETB as stated in the table above or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency and in the form of an unconditional Bank Guarantee enforceable in the local registered banks, in the format provided in the Bidding Document,

8.       Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:30 A.M EAT on 2nd April 2026. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.

9.       Bids shall be publicly opened at the address below, at 10:45 A.M on the same date of closing in the presence of bidders or their designated representatives who choose to attend.

10.   Attention is drawn to the Procurement Framework requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
