Kafa Forest Coffee Farmers' Cooperative Union (KFCFCU) invites eligible firms to submit bids for financial auditing services for the project: "Conservation of Native Forest Ecosystems in Kafa through Participatory Forest Management (PFM) and Improved Agricultural Practices"

Project overview:

Implemented by KFCFCU in Kafa Zone, South-West Ethiopia, the project is supported by GEO Rainforest Conservation, a German NGO with 25 years of experience in Kafa. It focuses on establishing and improving PFM institutions, enhancing agricultural practices, conserving natural forests, and supporting local livelihoods through activities like fruit tree distribution and rural school support.

• Project duration: June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2027
• Annual budget: Approximately 8 million Birr

Audit scope:

The selected auditor will conduct three annual financial audits (based on business years) and present a report in English. The firm must travel to Kafa annually and visit two PFM sites in the area,

Eligibility requirements:

Bidders must submit the following:

1. Trade registration certificate and renewed trade license for the current year.
2. VAT and TIN registration certificates,
3. Tax clearance confirmation for the current year.
4. Bid security of 10% of the total financial proposal (in the form of CPO),
5.  Technical and financial proposals in a sealed envelope
6. Proof of at least five years of project audit experience,
7. Names and contact details of three organizations audited in the past year.

Submission details:

• Bid submission period: 21 consecutive working days from the publication of this notice in Addis Zemen Newspaper.
• Submission deadline: 22nd day of the bid notice period, by 9:30 AM, at KFCFCU Head Office, Bonga.
• Bid opening: Same day at 10:00 AM, in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
