REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR PURCHASING OF FINISHED/UNFINISHED BUILDING OR A PRIME AREA PLOT OF LAND FOR OFFICE BUILDING DEVELOPMENT FOR THE AFRICA RE ADDIS ABABA CONTACT OFFICE (ETHIOPIA)

1. BRIEF

The African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) is an international organization, created by 42 African States members of the African Union (AU, with headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, and with a dual commercial and developmental mandate focused on the African insurance sector. Africa Re owns six (6) regional offices, two (2) contact offices, and three (3) operating subsidiaries across Africa and the Middle East.

As a pioneering and leading pan-African re-insurance company, Africa Re was established with the underlying mission of fostering the development of the insurance and reinsurance industry in Africa and investing in African economies.

It is against the backdrop of the above mission that Africa Re is in the process of acquiring its Contact Office Building in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Ideally, the project under contemplation will be a high-rise mix of office / commercial /residential buildings that is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities and adhere to standards that will ensure a maximum return on investment and clear visibility of Africa Re's commitment to the Ethiopian economic development.

2. INTRODUCTION

The main reason Africa Re seeks to acquire a corporate office building, whether it is finished or not, or a prime area plot of land to build a state-of-the-art office complex, is its strong determination to establish Addis Ababa as a hub for re-insurance by efficiently capitalizing on the opportunities in the horn of Africa.

In view of the above, interested real estate developers, reputable firms, and individual vendors are invited to submit prequalification proposals for the project as per the laid down guidelines to be found at www.africa-re.com/tenders  or by scanning the below QR code.

3. TENDER CLOSING DATE

Submission closes by Friday 30th October 2024.
