International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) is a member of the CGIAR Consortium. ILRI works at the crossroads of livestock and poverty, bringing high-quality science and capacity-building to bear on poverty reduction and sustainable development for poor livestock keepers and their communities.  ILRI’s headquarter is in Nairobi, Kenya and principal campus in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

1. International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) invites sealed bids from all eligible Security service providers.
2. Bidders must have a Minimum of Two years’ experience in delivering security service to various national and international reputable organizations & institutions.  Service to international non-governmental /development organization is a plus.
3. Bidders must have efficient and effective logistic and communication supports and facilities
4. ’Security Personnel’ shall be properly trained and licensed, in accordance with local law, to perform security services.
5. ‘Security Personnel’ shall be uniformed and wear appropriate identification badges as approved.
6. Bidders must obtain necessary police verification of all the security personnel well in advance of assignment to perform services under this contract.
7. All security personnel should be in appropriate physical and mental state so as to be able to deliver the best possible services of the contract
8. The security service provider will have to maintain a pool of additional guards to cover for the absence of regular guards due to leave, sickness or other reasons.
9. Potential ’Security Guard Company’ must have a systematic reporting procedure on current risk/ threat analysis including any other factors/ situation having effect on safety and security of the personnel and office.

11. The bid document should contain the Original Technical and Financial Offer in a separate envelope, sealed, signed, waxed. Bidders should present copies of company renewed business and registration license, VAT registration certificate and tax identification certificate. The document shall then be presented in a sealed, signed, waxed outer envelope to the address specified below.
12. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on August 17, 2022.
13. Bidders are expected to go through the bidding document and submit their offer accompanied by copies of all necessary documents/licenses in a wax sealed and stamped envelope to the office before August 31, 2022, 4:00PM to the address specified below.

15. Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by Bid security of not less than Birr 50,000.00 (One Hundred thousand birr) and shall be delivered to International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI)
