The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a grant fromthe International Development Association and Government of Italy forfinancing in the amount of USD 500, 000 equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ethiopian Diaspora Health and Education Professional Mobilization project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Medical and ICT Equipment, and consultancy services. This project will be jointly financed by the Government of Italy.

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conductedthrough the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits(January 2011), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in theguidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011 (current edition).

Specific procurement notices for contract to be bid under the World Bank's international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket, and the Ethiopian Herald, a local newspaper .
