Procurement Notice (GPN)
The Federal Democratic Republicof Ethiopia has received a credit from
the International Development Association (IDA), for carrying out The Women's Entrepreneurs
Development Project (WEDP). WEDP will be implemented over a period of five years, starting in
fiscal 2012/13 through 2017/18 with a total investment of USD 50 million. The
project consists of three components: (1) Access to Microfinance with$42.4
million; (2) Entrepreneurial skills, technology and cluster development; (3)
Project Management, Advocacy, and Outreach, Monitoring and Evaluationand
Impact Evaluation and for both component 2 and 3 earmarked the remaining
balance.
The overall coordination of
WEDP is the responsibility of the Federal Micro & Small Enterprise
Development Agency (FeMSEDA) hosted in Ministry of Urban Development and
Construction (MoUDC). The Development Bank of Ethiopia will be
responsible for the implementation of the first component, while FEMSEDA will
have the direct responsibility for implementing the second and third
components.
To this effect, procurement
of Goods: Vehicles, Motor bikes, Computers, Printers, Copiers and Flat screen
TV as well as procurement of services:
for Developing Curriculum and Training Modules for ToT andWomen
Entrepreneurs, Training for ToT & Implementing Agencies, Baselinesurvey
and M&E system design to be conducted by NCB and QCBSfor
respective categories.
