The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) the World Bank Group towards the cost of implementation of the Competitiveness & Job Creation Project. The Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) an implementing agency, intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this Credit to eligible payments under the contract for the Consultancy Service of Brand Development for Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) "to
The Consulting Services ("the Services") for Brand Development include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Develop the key considerations and options for the brand identity elements - defining principles and their representation in the logo, tag line, thematic activities, and style guidelines for visual, printed and digital material, and identifying characteristics for IPDC physical structures (buildings and offices including industrial Parks andhead Office); and
2. Prepare a Brand Identity Roadmap showing how to express the brand elements into IPDC publications and documentation, website, audio visuals and visibility items as well as representational material for key events, and IPDC's buildings and offices.
The Industrial Parks Development Corporation now invites eligible and qualified Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the Consultancy Service of "to assist the IPDC with strengthening its promotional activities through stronger and more focused branding, to ensure that investors and stakeholders would benefit from IPDC's reputation for standardized and professional customer handling". The Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the requiredqualification and relevant experience to perform the Services.
The Short Listing Criteria for selecting Consulting Firms on Brand Development for IPDC are the following:
(i) Core Business and Years in Business;
(ii) Qualifications in the Field of the Assignment;
(iii) Technical and Managerial Organization of the Firm; and
(iv) General Qualifications and Number of Key Staff.
The attention of the Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants [under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers, January, 2011("Consultant Guidelines") edition, setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.
The Consultants may associate with other firms in theform of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications. The selection of consultant will be conducted in accordance with the QCBS (Quality and Cost Based Selection) method set out in the World Bank's Consultant Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011 edition.
