COMPETITIVENESS & JOB CREATION PROJECT (CJCP)

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopiahas received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) - the World Bank towards the cost of implementation of the Competitiveness & Job Creation Project. The Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC)an implementing agency intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this Credit to eligible payments under the contract for the Consultancy Service employment of Individual Consultant for B2B Linkages.

The main objective of this assignment is to the Consulting Services include, but are not limited to the following:

[

1.  Enhance the business transaction of Matching Grant (MG)  and Technical Assistance (TA) beneficiary firms with firms in the Industrial Parks.

1. Support Project Implementation Unit (B2B Linkage) in the implementation of the MG and TA components a day to day basis

The individual Consultant (IC) will be selected and engaged on the basis of his/herqualification for the assignment in accordance with the World Bank’s guidelines. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011, Revised July 2014(“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. 

Qualification and Experience Required:

For provision of effective services, the Individual Consultant is expected to have:

1. Advanced degree in Business Management, Marketing, Economics or related areas with at least 4 years of relevant experience  or
2. BA degree in Business Management, Marketing, Economics or related areas with at least 6 years of relevant experience  
3. Strong motivation to work for result and fast learner 
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Timeframe

               The contract will be initially for six months with expected starting July 1, 2021. Upon satisfactory completion of the six months, the contract could be extended for another five months depending on performance (total 11 months)  

Remuneration: Negotiable/Attractive

Location: Industrial Parks Development Cooperation, Addis Ababa 

The consultant may obtain the ToR up on request at the address provided below during working days and office hours from 8.30AM-12:30 PM and 2:00- 5:00 PM local time from Monday to Thursday and from 8.30-5:30 AM and 2:00- 5:00 PM local time on Fridays.
