1. This Invitation for Bids follows theGeneral Procurement Notice for this Program that appeared in Development Business, issue no. DB Reference Nº: WB857-02/13 Posted on: 19 February 2013

2. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank International Development Association and Development Partners toward the cost of thePromoting Basic Services Program - Phase III, andit intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for Procurement of IT Hardware and Software for Schools Management Information System

3. The Ministry of Finance & Economic Development, Channel One Programs Coordinating Unit (COPCU) nowinvites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for procurement of the following IT Equipments

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits &Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011 ("Procurement Guidelines"), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy onconflict of interest.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 09:00 am to5:00 pm at the address stated below at the end of this invitation.

6. A completeset of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 150 Ethiopian Birr or 10 USD The method of payment will be cash.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address stated below at the end of this invitation on or before 06 –February -2014 Time: 2:00 p.m. (local time). Electronic biddingwill not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders' designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address stated below at the endof this invitation on February 06, 2014  Time: 2:30 p.m. (localtime).

8. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security" of USD 15,000, (ETB 285,000.00) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency
