1.       The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Agriculture Growth Program (AGP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for the Supply& installation of fertilizer blending equipment.

2.       The Agricultural Transformation Agency  now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the following

3.       Biddingwill be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB)procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

4.       Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:00PM local time.

5.       Qualifications requirements include:

•  The bidder shall submit audited financial statements of the company for the last 3 years to demonstrate that it has an average annual turnover of at least two times the proposed bid price.

•  Documentary evidence thatit has successfully completed at least three contracts of similar size and nature within Africa and/or other developing countries during the last five years

•  The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that the Goods it offers meet the requirements specified in the given specification of the bid document.

6.    A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Birr 150.00 or in Equivalent value of USD.  The method of payment will be in Cash or cheque.  For bidders who wish to receive the tender document by mail they shall make an additional payment of USD 40 or the equivalent amount in Ethiopian Birr. The tender document shall be sent by courier to their address.However, the purchaser shall not be responsible for the delay or lossof bidding documents that are mailed to potential bidders.

7         Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 3:00 P.M on February 21, 2014. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representativeswho choose to attend in person at the address below at 9:30 PM February 21, 2014. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Birr 70,000(Seventy thousand) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
