Amendment to Invitation for Bid (IFB)
1. Ministry of water, Irrigation andElectricity has been advertised Invitation for Bid for procurement ofLaboratory Equipment, Glass Wares, Chemicals and Consumables on UNDB Online 18 November, 2015 and Ethiopian Herald, Saturday 20 November, 2015. However, due to several clarification requests on the technical specification and due to the holiday the perspective bidders requested time extension for bid closing date.
2. The Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Electricity now extended the bid closing & opening date from 07 January, 2016 to 15 January, 2016.

2. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received from the International Development Association toward the cost of Tana Beles Integrated Water Resource Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit to payments under the Contract for procurement of Laboratory Equipments, Glass wares, Chemicals and Consumables.
3. The Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Electricity now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Supply of Laboratory Equipments, Glass wares, Chemicals and Consumables.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Electricity and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given belowfrom 8:30 am to 12:30 pm & from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday and from 8:30 am to 11:30 am & from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Friday.
6. Qualifications requirements include: Bidder should have the experience on supplying at least two contracts of similar sizes and nature in the last three years, supported with names of clients, value and type of contracts. Information of audited financial statement of the firm for the last three years, Average annual turnover for the last three years at least two times the contract amount. Product ISO authorization or Equivalent shall be attached to the document in compliance to the specification. A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.
7. A complete set of biddingdocuments in English may be purchased by interested bidders directly from Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Electricity Basin Administration Directorate Tana andBeles Integrated Water Resources Development Project, on the submission of written application to the address below and up on payment of a non refundable fee ETB 200.00 (Two hundred birr) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.

Bids shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a Bid Security for lot 1 ETB 145, 000.00 (One hundred forty five thousand), lot 2 ETB 40,000.00 (Forty Thousand) and lot 3 ETB 15,000.00 (fifteenthousand) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
