1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the National Quality Infrastructure Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Office Furniture and Office Equipment for Ethiopian Standards Agency.
2. The Ministry of Science and Technology now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of Office Equipment and Office Furniture as indicated below.

3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” "Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits" dated January 2011and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

5. The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 (Birr Two Hundred Only). The method of payment shall be in cash or deposit to the account of:

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 08 January, 2018 at 10:00 AM local time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 08 January 2018 at 10:30 AM local time.
7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 100,000.00. The bid security shall be in the form of a certified cheque or unconditional bank guarantee from reputable banking institution submitted in its original form. Bid security in the form of an insurance bond, copy of the security and swift massages shall not be accepted.
