 Contract Title: Procurement of transit canvas document bags

1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Immigration Nationality and Vital Events Agency has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the HSDG-CRVS project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for 53370 Pieces of transit canvas document bags.

2. The Immigration Nationality and Vital Events Agency MDG-CRVS Project now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of 53370 Pieces of transit canvas document bags to be delivered in all the regions of the country and with no margin of preference from experienced manufacturers of canvas products. 

3. Bidding will be conducted through National  Competitive using a Request for Bids (RFB)  as  specified in the World Bank’s “ procurement regulation for IPF Borrowers”  July 20 16 , revised by November  2017  (“Procurement regulations”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement regulation.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Immigration Nationality and Vital Events Agency (INVEA-CRVS) Project Alemtsehay Adem, alemtsehayadems@gmail.com and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 8:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 3.30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and on Friday from 8:30am to 11:30am and 1:30pm to 3.30 pm local time.

5. The bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 100.00 (one hundred Birr)   or in a convertible currency. The method of payment will be in cash. The document will be sent by email after the payment is done.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before August 17, 2021 at 10.00 AM Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below. 

7. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 300,000.00(three hundred thousand) in Birr or equivalent amount in foreign currency as mentioned below.

8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
