1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the lowlands livelihood resilience project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments for procurement of equipment that include solar Refrigerator to equip 40 Animal Health Posts across 20 project woreda and Procurement of equipment for to equip 20 pastoral training center. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
2. The LLRP- Afar Low land Livelihood Resilience Project now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders.

3. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement Regulations, and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from LLRP- Afar Project Coordination Unit, Tel. 0336660184/88 samara and inspect the bidding document during office hours 1:30- 5:30 morning local time and 9:00-11:30 Afternoon Local Time at the address given below Afar Region samara city, Low Lands Livelihood Resilience Project (LLRP) the project office Around Afar Design and Supervision Works Enterprise, Next to VSF Germany Office. Tele no. 033-666-01-88 

5.   A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment for free. The document will be sent by hand delivery procedures.

6.   Bids must be delivered to the address LLRP- Afar Coordination Unit- Samara at or before 09:30 A.M (03;30 Local time) on April 20/2022 Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address Afar Region- LLRP – Afar Coordination Unit at procurement section Room number.06 on April 20/2022 G.C 10;00A.M (04;00 Local time).

7.   A bidder who shall participate in all the lots must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Birr 65,000 for LOT I Birr 25,000 for LOT II in the form of CPO or bid bound Guarantee.
