- The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Small and Medium Enterprises Finance Project (SMEFP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of Storage System, Firewall & Other IT Equipment.
2. The Ethiopian Enterprises Development now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply of Storage System, Firewall & Other IT Equipment.
3. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers: Procurement in Investment Project Financing, Goods, Works, Non-consulting and Consulting Services’, dated July 1, 2016, revised November 2017 and August 1, 2018, (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations that meet the following qualification criteria:

Bidders shall demonstrate experience in Supply of IT Equipment for Clients and Projects similar in nature of this tender in the role of prime supplier, management contractor, JV member, or subcontractor for at least three (3) years prior to the submission deadline. |

Specific Project Experience
|
Bidders shall demonstrate that they have successfully completed at least two contracts within the last five years prior to bid submission deadline, each with a value of at least USD 600,000.00 or equivalent that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar in nature and complexity to the Goods and Related Services under the Contract, i.e., Supply of Storage System and Firewall & Related IT Equipment. For a joint venture, this requirement may be met by all members combined. |
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information FDRE Ethiopian Enterprise Development and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9:00AM to 12:30PM and 2:00PM to 5:00PM local time Monday through Friday. A pre-bid meeting which potential bidders may attend will be held on May 22, 2023 at 11 A.M.
5. The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 1,000.00 or USD 20. The method of payment will be in cash or direct deposit to EED’s account in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Senga Tera Branch, and Account No. 1000170639662, Swift Code - CBETETAA. The document will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before June 05, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on June 05, 2023 at 2:40 P.M.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 500,000.00 or equivalent.
