1.      The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Small and Medium Enterprises Finance Project (SMEFP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of 10 units Delivery Trucks for Ethiopost (Ethiopian Postal Service Enterprise).

2.      The Ethiopian Enterprises Development now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Delivery Trucks for Ethiopost

3.      Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers: Procurement in Investment Project Financing, Goods, Works, Non-consulting and Consulting Services’, dated July 1, 2016, revised November 2017 & August 1, 2018; and updated on November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations that meet the following qualification criteria:

4.      Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian Enterprise Development (EED) and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9:00AM to 12:30PM and 2:00PM to 5:00PM local time Monday through Friday.

5.      The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 500.00 or USD 10 The method of payment will be in cash or direct deposit to EED’s account in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Senga Tera Branch, and Account No. 1000170639662, Swift Code - CBETETAA. The document will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before October 16, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on October 16, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. (immediately after closing of bid)

7.      All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 110,000.00 (One Hundred Ten Thousand birr) or equivalent.
