Invitation for Bids (IFB)

1.       South Ethiopia Irrigation and Lowland Areas Development Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders /GC-5 or Bc-4/ for construction of Olekakibo and Gisma babo primary school) at south omo zone, Benatsemaye Woreda Olekakibo and Gisma kebele as stated below.

2.       Bidders must be visit the project construction site before submitting their bids Otherwise, not visiting is a point of rejection.

3.       The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of SERS procurement Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.

4.       Bid validity date is 90 (Ninety) days.

5.       Bid must be accompanied by bid security of ETB 300,000.00 (Three Hundred Thousand Birr) in the form of Unconditional Bank Guarantee, CPO (Certified Payment Order) and valid 30 days beyond the bid validity.

6.       A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 1,500.00 (One Thousand Five Hundred Birr).

7.       Bids must stay for 30 calendar days starting from announcement and delivered to the address stated below on or before 8:00 afternoon local time and Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or representatives of bidders who choose to attend at 8:30 afternoon local time on the same date of closing at South Ethiopia Irrigation and Lowland Areas Development Bureau Jinka city. If the day is holiday the bid will be opened in the next day at the same time.

8.       Electronic bidding will not be permitted.

9.       Late bids will be rejected.

10.   Bidder with poor efficiency, less than 70% progress of constructions in hands and having been black listed in the country for none performing and termination of a project cannot compete for any bid. (Whenever recognized will automatically be rejected)

11.   The South Ethiopia Irrigation and Lowland Areas Development Bureau reserve the right to reject all or part of the bid.
