The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the Italian Government toward the cost of the Sanitation Facilities Improvement, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Construction of Five (5) Type l Public Toilets for Arerti Town.

The Arerti Town Water Supply & Sewerage Service Enterprise now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Construction of Type 1 Public Toilet for Arerti Town located at North Shewa Zone of Amhara Region at a distance of 130 KM from the Capital City of Ethiopia. The intended construction period shall be for 6 (Six) months.

The Bidding Documents require bidders to fulfill the following qualification requirements; Pick annual construction turnover: The Bidder shall demonstrate a minimum pick annual construction turnover of ETB 18million, calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress and/or completed within the last five (5) years.

Specific Experience: The Bidder shall demonstrate that it has completed: (i) 1 (one) contract within the last years before bid submission deadline, with a value of at least ETB 28 million, or (ii)Two contracts each of minimum value must be ETB 14million that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar in nature and complexity to the assignment under the Contract supported with the names of the clients, types and value of the contract. There are also additional requirements provided in the bidding document.

The Procurement Process will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's Bank's Procurement Regulations: Procurement and Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services Fourth Edition November 2023 (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Arerti Town Water Supply & Sewerage Service Enterprise and inspect the bidding document during office hours 8:30 A.M up to 12:30 P.M, and 1:30 PM up to 5:30 PM from Monday to Friday at the address given below.

The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested, eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of nonrefundable fee of ETB 1,000.00 (One Thousand). The method of payment will be in Cash.

Big must be delivered to the address below on or before 12 March 2026 at 2:00 P.M. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 12 March 2026 at 2:30 P.M.

The bid shall be valid for a period of sixty (60) days after bid opening. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Birr) in the form of CPO or an unconditional bank guarantee, using the form in Section IV of this bidding document. The guarantee remains valid for a period of eighty-eight (60+28) days. An insurance bond is not acceptable.

Attention is drawn to the Procurement Guidelines requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership in the Contract Award
