NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BID

1.       Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor (the Main Contractor) wants to invite competitive and professional bidders to submit sealed bid for providing the necessary labor, material, and equipment for supplying and placing concrete walkway tiles on the construction of remaining works of Atat Mazoria – Gunchire-Kose-Geja - Lera Road Construction Project.

2.       The project road is an asphalt road having a total approximate length of 68.255 km main road plus 28.687 km spur roads is located in Central Regional State. The road starts at Atat Mazoria some 15 km from end of Wolkite Town on the Wolkite-Emdibir-Hosanna Road and ends at Lera town a seat of the Mi'erab Azernet Berbere Wereda of the Silte Zone and also a town on the same Wolkite-Emdibir-Hosanna Road.

3.       The Main Contractor intends to sublate supplying and placing concrete walkway tiles Gunchire town section of the above- mentioned project.

4.       Interested bidders shall submit a Competency Certificate from the Ministry of Urban Development and Construction renewed for 2017 EFY with working competency for the required works having category of Grade 5 and above together with other appropriate documentary evidences demonstrating the bidder's compliance, which shall include:

4.1.  Trading License renewed for 2017 EFY:

4.2.  Certificate of Registration;

4.3.  Tax Clearance Certificate, which states that the bidder can participate in any public tender, valid till the bid submission date;

4.4.  VAT Registration Certificate and Tin No. and

4.5.  Registration as a Supplier in the list of the mandated public body, l.e. public Procurement and Property Administration Agency (PPPAA).

5.       The bidder has to:

5.1.  Submit a specific work experience certificate to justify a minimum of two (2) years of experience in concrete walkway tile placing and has to present a certificate/ proof for completion of at least 2 (Two) different projects.

5.2.  Present proof of evidence (contract agreement, Certified payment certificates, completion certificates, and the like...) for the specific experiences on projects that are completed as well as ongoing.

5.3.  Be capable of supplying all materials, equipment including operating costs and manpower required for the work.

5.4.  Present detailed working methodology as per the enclosed specification and schedule as part of the technical document submission as specified in the technical specification.

6.       Interested and eligible bidders may obtain the bidding document from the address given below from 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday.

7.       Bidders shall submit their Bid in two envelopes; the first envelope labeled as "Technical Bid" and the second envelope "Financial Bid", separately sealed and the two envelopes sealed in another outer envelope. One Original and two Copies of the bids have to be submitted, for each project.

8.       The bid must be accompanied by a bid security, in CPO addressed to Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor, of ETB 50,000.00.

9.       The Technical Bid and Bid Security will be opened after the submission deadline at the address below and the bidders will be notified with the date of bid opening; if they want to attend the same.

10.   The Bid shall be submitted within 15 calendar days of the invitation to bid announcement date.

11.   The Bid must be delivered to the address specified below. One Original and Two Copies of the bids have to be submitted.
