Invitation to Bid for the Procurement of Farmland Clearing Services

Good Neighbors Ethiopia (GNE) hereby invites qualified, competent, and experienced service providers to submit sealed bids for the preparation and clearing of farmland using mechanized equipment for refugee and host community beneficiaries located at Ura Refugee Settlement Site and Akuda Kebele, Ura Woreda, Benishangul-Gumuz Regional State.

1. Scope of the Service

The successful bidder shall provide mechanized farmland preparation and clearing services in accordance with the technical requirements and locations specified in the bidding documents.

1. Purchase of Bidding Documents

Interested bidders may obtain the bidding documents upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 600 (Six Hundred Ethiopian Birr).

• Location: Good Neighbors Ethiopia, Assosa Area Office
• Address: Assosa Town, Woreda 1, Ketena 4, approximately 100 meters from World Vision, along the main road to Assosa University
• Period: From 22 December to 30 December 2025
• Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (seven working days)

2. Eligibility and Required Documents

To be eligible for participation, bidders must meet the following requirements and submit copies of the relevant documents together with their bid:

• Valid and renewed business license issued by the appropriate government authority for the relevant sector,
• Legal receipt
• Valid VAT registration certificate;
• Valid tax clearance certificate;
• Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) certificate;
• Only CPO equivalent to 2% of the total bid price;
• Written confirmation of willingness and capacity to deliver the farmland preparation service at the specified locations.

3. Bid Submission

• Bidders shall submit a completed, signed, and stamped
• Bid Form in the name of Good Neighbors Ethiopia, clearly indicating the total bid price inclusive of the 2% CPO.
• Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope.
• Electronic or late submissions will not be accepted.

4. Bid Closing and Opening

• Bid Closing Date and Time: 30 December 2025 at 11:00 AM
• Bid Opening Date and Time: 30 December 2025 at 11:30 AM
• Bid Opening Place: Good Neighbors Ethiopia, Assosa Area Office, Assosa Town, Woreda 1, Ketena 4, approximately 100 meters from World Vision, on the main road to Assosa University
• Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their legally authorized representatives.

5. Compliance

Any bid that does not fully comply with the requirements stated in this bid invitation and the bidding documents shall be subject to rejection and disqualification.
