NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BID

1. Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor (the Main Contractor) wants to invite competitive and professional bidders to submit sealed bid for providing the necessary labor, material, and equipment for the sub-contracting ancillary works of the construction of Edo - Serofta - Warka Road project.
2. Edo - Serofta - Warka Road project is located in the West Arsi Zone of the Oromia Regional State connecting Dosola and Nansebo Weredas. The project road starts at Edo town which is about 300km from Addis Ababa via the Addis Ababa - Modjo Shashemene Dodola road. The project involves upgrading -75km of road with DC5 road standard with Asphalt Concrete surfacing.
3. The Main Contractor intends to sublate Ancillary works (traffic sign, guard rail and road marking) of the first 42 kilo meters of the road.
4. Interested bidders shall submit Competency Certificate from the Ministry of Urban Development and Construction renewed for 2017 EFY with working competency for the required works having category of Grade 3 and above together with other appropriate documentary evidences demonstrating the bidder's compliance, which shall include:
   1. Trading License renewed for 2017 EFY;
   2. Certificate of Registration;
   3. Tax Clearance Certificate, which states that the bidder can participate in any public tender, valid till the bid submission date;
   4. VAT Registration Certificate and Tin No. and
   5. Registration as a Supplier in the list of the mandated public body. i.e., public Procurement and Property Administration Agency (PPPAA).
5. The bidder has to:
   1. Submit a specific work experience certificate to justify a minimum of two (2) years of experience in ancillary works and has to present a certificate/ proof for completion of at least 2 (Two) different projects.
   2. Present proof of evidence (contract agreement, Certified payment certificates, completion certificates, and the like...) for the specific experiences on projects that are completed as well as ongoing.
   3. Be capable of supplying all materials, equipment including operating costs and manpower required for ancillary works.
   4. Present defiled working methodology as per the enclosed specification and schedule as part of the technical document submission as specified in the technical specification.
6. Interested and eligible bidders may obtain the bidding document from the address given below from 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday.
7. Bidders shall submit their Bid in two envelopes; the first envelope labeled as "Technical Bid" and the second envelope "Financial Bid", separately sealed and the two envelopes sealed in another outer envelope. One Original and two Copies of the bids have to be submitted, for each project.
8. The bid must be accompanied by a bid security, in CPO addressed to Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor, of ETB 100,000.00.
9. The Technical Bid and Bid Security will be opened after the submission deadline at the address below and the bidders will be notified with the date of bid opening; if they want to attend the same.
10. The Bid shall be submitted within 15 calendar days of the invitation to bid announcement date.
11. The Bid must be delivered to the address specified below. One Original and Two Copies of the bids have to be submitted.
