The FDRE Ministry of Finance has received financing from the African Development Fund toward the cost of the Institutional Support Project to Strengthen Macroeconomic Management (ISP-SMM) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this Grant to payments under the contract for the recruitment of an individual consultant for Implementing Interest-Free Monetary Policy and Sharia' Compliant Government Securities.

The services included under this project are: supporting interest free banking operation and sharia compliant government securities in: preparing workshops and trainings, Preparing implementation action plan and internal workflow manual, assist in launching pilot tests or phased implementation of selected monetary policy instruments for interest-free banking and operationalization of sharia compliant government securities issuance process, deliver on-the-job training and mentorship to NBE staff involved in interest free and monitor the early phases of implementation.

The FDRE Ministry of Finance is now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the above-mentioned services. The expression of interest must include the consultant's profile, country of residence and evidence of fulfilling the requirements to deliver the consultancy service.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank's "Procurement Policy for Banks Funded Operations (October 2015) which is available on the Bank's website at http://www.afdb.org (http://www.afdb.org/) .
