National Competitive Bidding (NCB)

SERS Gedeo Zone Water Mines and Energy Department here by invites wax sealed bids, from qualified and eligible bidders of WWC 5 and above and licensed in water works construction for the construction of water supply Project.

1. Bidders should present renewed business license and registration certificate for VAT, Supplier Registration on Electronic Government Procurement (EGP), Tax clearance certificate issued by the tax authority and Tax payers' registration certificate.
2. Bidders shall obtain bid documents upon payment of non-refundable birr 500.00 (Five hundred) from Gedeo zone finance Department.
3. Bids shall be valid for a period of Ninety- (90) days after bid opening.

4. Bids shall be submitted one original and three copies on 10th consecutive day from the announcements at SE Regional Gedeo Zone Finance Sector, Dilla City, @LT 4:00; if the 11th bid opening date is lay on the holyday the bid will be open on the next working day.
5. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives at the last date of bid submission, at 4:30 AM@LT at the Finance department, Dilla.
6. One bidder may purchase only one bid document and submits only one bid. If the bidder submits more than one bid it automatically disqualified/ rejected from computation from any of the bid listed above.
7. Historical Non-performance of the contract /have terminated project/ for the last five years is automatically rejected from the competition.
8. The financial arithmetic error is above or below 3% (three percentages) the bidder must be rejected from computation.
9. The finance department reserves the right to reject all or parts of the bid.
10. The site visit is mandatory. If the bidder fails to submit the site visit letter from woreda water, mine and energy sector, the bidder will be automatically rejected.
11. The bidder shall give priority for the supply of pump and generator with all accessories listed in the specification for electromechanical installations and must submit commitment letter with technical document to deliver the equipment upon the receipt of advance payment. If the bidder fails to do so, the bidder will be rejected automatically
