Title: Water schemes rehabilitation service at refugee site in Nyangatom Refugees Settlement, South Ethiopia Region.

Introduction:

Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO) is an Ethiopian non-governmental non-profit making humanitarian organization established in 2013 and re-registered in 2014 as per the new Proclamation Nº 1113/19 with registration number 3528. ASDEPO is engaged in different thematic program areas of intervention namely Education, Health/ HIV and AIDS, Nutrition, Community and Family Support, Women and Youth economic empowerment, livelihood and Skill Training, Water, Sanitation and hygiene, Environmental Protection, Protection and Humanitarian response in all regional states and city administrations of Ethiopia.

Currently, ASDEPO is implementing a project called "Emergency Health and WASH Response in Nyangatom Settlement, South Ethiopia Region."

In line with its mission, ASDEPO in partnership with its donors, want to construct Water schemes rehabilitation service in South Ethiopia region, South Omo Zone, Gnagatom Woreda, Aypa Kebele refugee camp by classifying in 2 lots. Our approach is emphasizing local participation, an integration of services, strategic partnerships. In this way, we empower communities to find, design, and implement the solutions that work best for them.

Tender Description and evaluation criteria

Therefore, ASDEPO requested interested and eligible contractors to submit their company profile that contain at least below listed mandatory documents and their financial offer for the above mentioned work which is grouped by Lot I & Lot II as per the BOQ specified for each lot respectively, The BoQ shall be taken from ASDEPO Niyangatom field office. The organization will strictly evaluate based on at least but not limited to the following evaluation criteria during selection of contractors.

1. Essential Criteria

Valid Trade Registration License, Valid Business License, Tax Identification number (TIN) certificate, Value Added Tax Certificate, Tax Clearance

2. Capability Criteria

• Valid WWC Contractor License above grade 6.
• Firms experience as a primary contractor for the past four years,
• Proposed key personnel- meets WWC requirements.
• Cumulative volume of work for the past 3 years, is at least 1,000,000 ETB and above.
• Experience as a primary contractor for the past years especially in an emergency response projects and successfully accomplished it considered as advantageous.

3. Financial Criteria

• Financial proposal offered based on the BoQs which indicates validity period.
• Bid bond- 5% of the financial offer for each lots separately.

4. Additional requirement

A contractor will deliver all materials input for the water supply rehabilitation work. And a contractor is expected to execute the work including provision of all required equipment's for the work like Gl pipe installation material, Welding Machine (OD63mm), Pick up car, Personal Protective Equipment/ PPE...etc.

Bidders who know the local operation areas and context are preferable

How to apply: -

Applicants should take necessary documents and/BoQs from ASDEPO Niyangatom field office and submit their proposal that contain at least above-mentioned documents and 5% bid bond for each lot not later than May 30, 2025 at 3:00 pm local time (afternoon) during working hours (8:00am to 5:00pm) at ASDEPO Nyangatom field office. The proposal will be opened on May 30, 2025 at 3:15 pm with the presence of bidders and/or their representatives who want to attend.
