NOTICE of INVITATION to Re-BID

1. Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor wants to reinvite competitive and professional bidders to submit sealed bids for design, fabrication, Import, supply and Installation, test and commissioning of gates, trashrack and hoists systems Including their embedment parts/ accessories and housing in Lot-1: Chel-Chel Dam and Appurtenant Structure Construction project.
2. The project area is found in the East Bale Zone of Oromia National Regional Raytu Woreda, located some 20 kilometers before Raytu town. Access to the project area is possible using the 400-kilometer Addis Ababa - Asela - Dodola - Robe asphalt road to be followed by either the Robe - Gasera - Ginir Raytu all-weather gravel road which is about 200 km long or, the Robe Goro Ginir Raytu gravel road that is about 170 km long. There is also another route that branches from Goro and passes through Sof- Omar village to link the Dawe Qachen Woreda capital with the Zone, but it is unpaved after turning left from this road Sof- Omar up to its junction with the Ginir-Raytu road.
3. The provision of gates and hoist system includes, but not limited to:
   1. Mobilization and demobilization of all Labor, Material and Machinery/Equipment to and from the project;
   2. Design, fabrication, import, supply and installation, test and commissioning of gates, trashrack and hoists systems including their embedment parts/accessories and housing as per the specification and terms of reference.
4. Interested bidders shall submit appropriate documentary evidences demonstrating the bidder's compliance, which shall include:
   1. Trade License renewed for 2017 EFY;
   2. Tax Clearance Certificate, which states that the bidder can participate in any public tender, valid till the bid submission date, VAT Registration Certificate and Tin No.:
   3. Registration as a supplier in relevant works in the list of the mandated public body, i.e. public Procurement and Property Administration Agency (PPPAA) and
   4. Any other certificate of competency given by the relevant authority for undertaking the electro technical works of dam projects.
5. The bidder has to:
   1. Submit an experience certificate to justify a minimum of five years of experience in a similar field (Electro technical works of dam projects) and has to present a certificate/ proof for completion of at least 2 (Two) projects.
   2. Present the required technical personnel, material and equipment/ machineries required for the scope of the works.
6. Interested and eligible bidders may obtain the bid documents from the address given below from 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday.
7. Bidders shall submit their Bids in two envelopes, the first envelope labeled as "Technical Bid" and the second envelope "Financial Bid", separately sealed and the two envelopes sealed in another outer envelope. One Original and Two Copies of the bids have to be submitted.
8. The bid must be accompanied by a bid security, in CPO addressed to Alemayehu Ketema General Contractor, of ETB 100,000.00.
9. The Technical Bid and Bid Security will be opened after the bid submission deadline in the presence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend, at the address below.
10. The Bid shall be submitted within 20 calendar days after the date of invitation to bid announcement and shall be submitted at 4:00 PM at the latest.
11. The bid must be delivered to the address specified below. One Original and Two Copies of the bids have to be submitted.
