- The Ministry of Water and Energy now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Rift Valley channel widening, detention pond, crossing and related works in three different sites of Kulifo. Boyo & Goflala rivers of Rift valley basin under fast-track approach before the flood period in South Ethiopia & Central Ethiopia regions, within the intended completion period of 90 days and the ministry will not grant margin of preference. The required Minimum Average Annual Turnover of ETB 290,000,000.00 for Lot I. 170,000,000.00 for Lot II. 350,000,000.00 for Lot III, 220,000,000.00 for Lot IV, and ETB 250,000,000.00 for Lot V, calculated as average of total certified payments received for contracts in Progress and/or completed within the last five years. In addition, Bidders may not associate/Joint Venture (.1V) with other bidders to enhance their qualifications.
- Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document.
- Bidding will be conducted through the National competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers", July 1, 2016, updated in November 2020, September 2023 ("Procurement Regulations"), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- 5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of water and Enerey Ethiopian food Management Project Management Unit. Mr. Temesgen Ketema/Mr. Biruk Haileyesues. email: mamushketema9200@gmail.com & birukwork2023@gamail.com and inspect the bidding document during office hours 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. in the morning and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon at the address below.
- The bidding documents in English language will be available and can be downloaded from Ministry web page using the following link free of cost: https://www.mowe.gov.et/en/resource_types/ToR-files. Bidders arc required to register in person at the address below before downloading the document and submitting their bids.
- Bid must be delivered to the address below on or before April 11, 2025. Time 2:00 p.m. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' or representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on April 11, 2025. Time 2:30 p.m.
- All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 2,500,000.00 for Lot I. 1,600,000.00 for Lot II. 2,600,000.00 for Lot III, 1,500,000.00 for Lot IV, and ETB 1,700,000.00 for Lot V in the form of an Unconditional Bank Guarantee or CPO to the Ministry of Water and Energy, and shall remain valid for 118 (One Hundred eighteen) days.
- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
- Ministry of Water and Energy reserves the right to reject all or part of the bid.
