ASSIGNMENT TITLE Consultancy service for Supervision of Awash River bed dredging/widening and related works in selected woredas of Upper, Middle and Lower Awash under fast-track approach before the flood period of 2017EFY in two lots.

The Government of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Ethiopia Flood Management Project (E-FMP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services ("the Services") for the above captioned assignment includes;
- Review and analysis of existing study quantity data after conducting river basin surveying work
- Carry out supervision and contract administration of the dragging, river training and flood pathway cleaning in upper middle and lower Awash River basin
- Carry out the required quality control and assurance, cost and time control and close monitoring of the works
- Measure the works of contractors and quantity the works executed, review and approve interim & final payments
- Ensure the works are carried out in full compliance with the engineering design, technical specifications and contract document.
SCOPE OF SERVICES: The scope of the service is limited to the geographic
domain of the works that lies on Awash River basin main course and near the confluence point of the major tributaries as specified in the ToR. The major task of consultant firm is to carry out the design review, supervision and contract administration of Awash River bed dredging/widening and related works in selected woredas of Upper, Middle and Lower Awash under fast-track approach before the flood period with nationally accepted standards.
PERSON MONTH & DURATION: It has 60 Person-Month for Upper Awash and 72 Person-Month for Middle and Lower Awash implementation periods of 180 Calendar days from the end of April 2025.

THE SHORTLISTING CRITERIA ARE:
- Firm's Core business and years in business
- Qualifications in the field of the assignment
- Technical and managerial organization of the firm
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" July 2016 updated in November 2020. Procurement will also comply with "Guidelines on Preventing and Combating Fraud and Corruption in Projects Financed by IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants" revised as of July 1, 2016. Consultants may not associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the CQS method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
