Invitation for Bids (IFB)

1. South Ethiopia Irrigation and Lowland Areas Development Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders/GC-8 or Be-8/for rehabilitation of residence building as stated below.

2. Bidders must he visit the project construction site before submitting their bids Otherwise, non-visiting is a point of rejection
3. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of SERS procurement Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.
4. Bid validity date is 60 (Sixty) days.
5. Bid must be accompanied by bid security of ETB 20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Birr) in the form of Unconditional Bank Guarantee, CPO (Certified Payment Or- der) and shall remain Valid for 88 (One Hundred Eighteen) days.
6. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 300.00 (three Hundred Birr)
7. Bids must be stay for 15 calendar days starting form announcement and delivered to the address stated below on or before 8:00 afternoon local time and Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or representatives of bidders who choose to attend at 8:30 afternoon local time on the same date of closing at South Ethiopia Irrigation and Lowland Areas Development Bureau Jinka city. If the day is holidaying the bid will be opened in the next day at the same time.
8. Electronic bidding will not be permitted.
9. Late bids will be rejected.
10. Bidder with poor efficiency, less than 70% progress of constructions in hands and having been black listed in the country for none performing and termination of a project cannot compete for any bid. (Whenever recognized will automatically be rejected)
11. The South Ethiopia Irrigation and Lowland Areas Development Bureau reserves the right to reject all or part of the bid.
