Statistics Guideline Assignment Title: Procurement of Individual Consultancy Service on

1. The [Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE)] [has received] financing from UN Women toward the Gender Statistics Guideline Program, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The consulting services ("the Services") include Consultancy Service on Gender Statistics Guideline
2. Ethiopian Statistics Service (ESS) is seeking to hire competent, energetic, qualified and experienced Individual consultant: Scope of Work Major Duties and Responsibilities
   • Conduct a thorough review and editing of the draft gender statistics guideline and update it.
   • Assess and identify potential problem in the guideline and correct it
   • Revise the documents based on inputs and comments provided by UN Women and ESS Experts.
   • Finalizing the draft gender statistics guideline for validation workshop with stakeholders.
   • Collect feedback from the workshop participants and incorporate it into the final document.
   • Proof reading and editing the final gender statistics guideline for printing.
   • Additional detailed duties and responsibilities will be provided when agreement is signed.

Deliverables

• Final revised and completed Gender Statistics Guideline.

The consultancy assignment requires senior and professional editing and advising service based on substantive experience and qualifications. Education: at least a PhD degree in Gender study, Sociology, Statistics, biostatistics, demography, development studies, economics, and social Science field with more than 10 years of proven experience in gender statistics research is required.

Competencies

• Extensive experience in the field of gender statistics especially in manual and guideline Preparation and editing.
• Excellent knowledge of Statistical methodology especially survey research, sampling, international and national gender indicator production, Interpretation of gender relevant data and policy, gender mainstreaming in statistics, SDG and African agenda of 2063.
• Excellent Scientific research writing and editing skills in English, with the ability to clearly edit and revise documents to ensure that it meets international standards of scholarly English. Proven track record of producing high-quality research publications, preferably in the area of gender Statistics.
