Melka Awash Farmers' Cooperative Union would like to construct Phase 1 (From Basement to 2nd floor) from B+CG+8 Mixed use Building Project in Shager City with budget obtains from the Union. Our office now invites all contractors of category Cieneral or Building contractors of GC-3/BC 2 & above

1. Bidding documents can be purchased at working date & time in Shager City Furi Sub City, Melka Awash Farmers’ Cooperative Union on summation of written application and a nonrefundable fee of Birr 2000.00 (Two Thousand Birr) in Melka Awash Farmers' coop. union account no 1000016047377 CBE starting from advertised date on herald newspaper for 21 consecutive calendar days
2. A bidder has to be
   1. renewed trade license
   2. Certificate of Competence from Ministry of Urban Development or Construction Oromia Construction Bureau
   3. "VAT" registered certificate
   4. All the above must be attached with the application.
3. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 1% of the contract price for phase I which will be payable up on the first written demand to client security in acceptable form of CPO or Unconditional Bank guarantee for 120(90+28) valid days. The bid security must be addressed to Melka Awash Farmers' Cooperative Union.
4. Submission and opening of the bid; (in Shager City Furi Sub City Melka Awash Farmers' Cooperative Union
   1. 1. The dead line of bid (The three envelopes shall be enclosed in an outer envelope marked "Bid Security, Technical Proposal and Financial Proposal for the Construction of Phase I of Melka Awash Farmers' Cooperative Union B+G+8 Mixed Use Building Project") submission shall be on or before 4:00 PM of 21 day of advertised date of this announcement.
5. 1. 2. The bidders shall submit one envelop sealed bidding document which enclose one big sealed envelope of "original technical document" and "Two copy by saying cop | & copy 2" this shall be produced in different sealed envelopes, and labeled as "Original technical document" & "Copy" and "Financial Document" also encloses one big sealed envelope and "original financial document" and "Two copy" this shall be produced in different sealed envelopes and labeled as "Original Financial offer" & "Copy". The bid security must be put in the Original Technical Requirement with separately sealed envelope. The copy should be photo copy of the original bid document and must be sealed and marked in the same manner as original bid document.
      3. This outer envelope shall bear the submission address and other information indicated on ITB 23.2, and be clearly marked as "TO BE OPENED ONLY IN THE PRESENCE OF TENDER COMMITTEE".
      4. The qualification document will be opened at 4:30 PM of submission day. The client shall notice qualified bidders' day, time & place of the financial offer document opening publicly, after qualification document evaluation completed.
      5. Any attempt of submission forged (false) document, missing page and/ or indication of financial offer on the qualification document shall result in rejection of the bid
      6. The client shall not bear any responsibility for misplacement of "QUALIFICATION DOCUMENT" in "THE FINANCIAL OFFER DOCUMENT" envelope or vice versa, which result in rejection of the bidder.
6. The office reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
