Background

The Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE), established in 1966, is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit charity Association providing Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services. FGAE is an accredited member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), joining the Federation in 1970. The Association is known to have pioneered Family Planning (FP) services in Ethiopia.

The purpose of this bid is, therefore, to engage competitive firms who can supply 8 (Eight) Motorcycles for FGAE with the following specifications.

Description of the equipment

The major specifications of the required Motorcycle are:-

• 150CC Boxer and TVS motorbikes.
• these motorbikes or other motorbikes that have similar CC specifications, and are being used in Ethiopia at Woreda level settings.
• the prices of this level of CCs are reasonable and
• their fuel consumption is efficient

Interested suppliers can participate in the bid to offer the service as per the above-detailed specification prepared for this purpose. Based on the above specification, suppliers can submit their technical (catalog/brochure/pictures...) and financial proposals within 9 (Nine) calendar days beginning from August 07, 2023, to the bid box availed at FGAE Head Office at the reception office.

Application procedure

All bidders are required to submit separate technical (catalog/brochure/pictures...) and financial proposals in sealed and stamped envelopes (one copy each) at the Head Office) on or before August 15, 2024, at 12:30 (Lunchtime).

Requirement

Applicants are required to fulfill the following minimum requirements:

• They should be legally registered and shall present renewed trade licenses;
• Bidders should have VAT and TIN registration Certificate;
• The bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid security of (5%) of the total amount in the form of CPO or bank guarantee in a separate sealed envelope.
• The bid document shall be deposited in the box provided for this purpose on the 2nd floor, Dr. Shimelis Adugna Building. Washington D.C. Square around Gazebo adjacent to Atlas Medical Science College.

The bid will be opened on August 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM (after lunch) at FGAE Head office in the presence of bidders who choose to attend the opening. FGAE reserves the right to partially or fully cancel the bid.
