Supply of Chicken

1. Action For Development (AFD), a local organization, invites interested bidders to supply improved breed Chicken for its projects entitled Strengthening Innovative Approaches to Strengthen the Resilience of Agro Pastoralists' Livelihoods in East Africa/ SRAPLEA II (ETH 1214) and ETH 1240 projects, which are currently under implementation in partnership with WHH.

2. Financing by: WHH/BMZ

3. Type and quantity of Chicken to be supplied per Woreda & Kabeles

 4. Detail specifications are provided in the bid document

5. Eligible bidders are invited to take part in the bid upon submission of copies of renewed trade licenses, & taxpayer's identification certificates.

6. Bidding will be conducted through an open local tender procedure.

7. The bid document including specifications can be purchased from Action for Development, P.O.Box 19859, Addis Ababa Tel 011 662 59 76, 09 39 655 371, or AFD Borena Field Office Yabelo Tel. 046 446 1110 and 09 02 943 303, Fax 046 446 0231, against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 during office hours, as of the date of this notice.

9. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond amounting to 1% of the total bid amount in the form of C.P.O, or unconditional bank guarantee. Bid bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.

10. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, one original marked "Original", and one copy signed in the same way as the original, and marked "Copy", by stating the contract title - Supply of Chicken Bid Ref. No -AFDA-11/2024, at or before 2:00 P.M. on 29th July 2024. The technical and financial offers must be placed together in a sealed envelope.

11. Bids will be simultaneously opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official representatives, who wish to attend, on 29th July 2024 at 02:30 P.M.. at the AFD offices in Addis Ababa and Yabello.

12. Failure to comply with any of the conditions indicated above will result in automatic rejection.

13. The Organization reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
