Invitation to Tender

1. Melkassa Agricultural Research center (MARC) of Agricultural Engineering Research is conducting "Baseline survey of Agricultural Mechanization in Ethiopia". Asthepartofthisresearch, wantsprocurement of laptop computers. Therefore, it is invited to sealed bids from interested, eligible and qualified bidders for supply and delivers personal computers (Laptop computer).

2. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the procurement directive.

3. Eligible documents are: Renewed trade license for the current year, valid tax clearance, VAT registration certificate, Tax payer identification certificate (TIN) and registration certificate. Interested eligible bidder may obtain, further information from Procurement Team Leader, Administration Block Procurement office at MARC and inspect the bidding document at the address given below during office hours from Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

4. A Complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee Birr 500 (Five Hundred Birr) and which is effective from the first date of announcements/advertisement of this notice up to 15 (Fifteen) Working days.

5. Bids must be accomplished by a bid security of amount 6000 (Six thousand birr) in the form of payment order CPO or Cash and must be address to MARC in separate envelope, and be delivered to the address.

6. The bidding dates will be opened for 15th consecutive working days and it will be closed 1:00 PM and it will be opened 1:30 PM at that day. Again, all the bidders or their representatives will be available and finalize at Melkassa Research \center \mini hall. If the opening date is at the holidays (weekend days), it will pass for the next working day.

7. Bidders shall be required to submit English Language:

(a) Technical Proposal and Detaille Specification of personal Computer (Laptop computer) including Bid Security. The original and one copy shall be signed, stamped and sealed in separate envelopes.; and also

(b) Sealed Financial Proposal: one original and one copy shall be signed, stamped and sealed in separate envelopes.

8. The MARC reserves the rights to reject all or parts of the bid.
