1. Introduction

In Ethiopia, IHI is re-registered at the F.DRE Authority for Civil Societies Organization with Certificate number 3594 and closely working with the Ministry of Health since 2013 to drive the quality agenda of the country through support development and Implementation of national quality quality strategy, capability building for improvement and demonstrating scalable approaches to improve quality of MNH care and other health services.

2. Purpose of the Bid

The intent of this bid select a firm to supply Medical Equipment and Medical Supplies for the IHI works in Ethiopia. All eligible Medical Equipment and Supply providers that qualify the minimum requirement expressed in this bid document are encouraged to apply.

3. Medical Equipment and Supplies

The list of medical equipment and supplies can be obtained at IH office. Bidders can get the detail document at Hi office within 5 working days after ys after the advertisement

4. Cost of Bidding

The bidder shall be responsible for all costs related with the preparation and submission of its bid and IHI will in no circumstance be responsible or liable to such costs irrespective of the result of the bidding process.

5. Bidding Document

• The bidder is required to examine all instructions, terms and specifications pertaining to the selection process. Failure to submit all required information as per the bidding document will be at the bidder's risk and may result in bid rejection.

• Bidders must agree to supply the items within ten (10) days after the bid award notice date.
• Bidders are expected to quote prices only to those items that are in their respective store or can be accessed locally. IHI will not pay advance payments for items to be imported abroad.

6. Language of Bid

All communications and documents exchanged between IHI and the bidder

be in English language only.

7. Documents Comprising the Bid

A. Financial Proposal

• Copy of Renewed business license for the current fiscal year (2016 EC or 2024 GC)

• Copy of TIN Certificate, VAT registration document company profile
• Copy of testimonies obtained from current and previous customers (if any)
• All unit prices entered or price schedules prepared in the bid shall be in Ethiopia Birr

8. Bid Security

For the purpose of this tender bid security or bond is not applicable.

9. Bid Opening and Evaluation Process

As part of opening process IHI will check following:

1. Eligibility: valid business license, TIN certificate, VAT registration, delivery date and capacity to deliver.

2. Specifications: item specification are in agreement with the bid document and

3. Price & Quality: items origin, brand and correct price schedule

10. Contract Award and Notification IHI will notify and award the contract to the winner bidder. By signing the contract document, the bidder warrants that the items to be supplied are up to IHi's specification.

• Bidders can get the bid document within 5 working days commencing the date this notice is published on newspaper at the address mentioned below.
• Bidders shall submit their offer with sealed and stamped envelope.
• The last day of submission is March 15,2024, 3 PM local time. Late submission will not be accepted.
• Bidders shall submit the bid document at IH’S office premise during office hours (8:30AM-3:30PM.
