Invitation for Bids (IFB)

Ethiopian Trading Businesses Corporation has allocated funds to be used for procurement of Construction works at office Renovation. The Ethiopian Trading Businesses Corporation, procurement, property and facility management department now invites sealed bids form eligible and qualified Firms/Bidder(s) for the procurement of:

1. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
2. Domestic bidders who have an interest to participate in the bid shall have Registered Contractors for Construction of block 2 building renovation works BC-2/ GC-2 and above and construction of site works, gate, gymnasium and fence renovation Category BC-3/ GC-3 and above, with their trade license valid for 2016 registered Ministry of works and urban development, valid principal/commercial/registration certificate, valid tax clearance, VAT registration certificate and tax payer's registration certificate.
3. . Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the central procurement unit at the address given below from 8:00 am. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
4. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders as of February 23, 2024, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30p.m. and Saturday from 8:00a.m.- 12:00 noon.

On the submission of a written Application to Ethiopian Trading Businesses Corporation Central procurement unit and upon payment of a nonrefundable for each bid/lot fee of Birr 1,000.00 (ETB One Thousand Birr only) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. The methods of payment will be cash.

5. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:30. A.m. (local Time 4:30) on March 15, 2024. Electronic bidding will not be Permitted, Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 10:30 A.m. (local Time 4:30) on March 15, 2024 Each bids must be accompanied by a bid security: for construction of site works, gate and fence renovation ETB 350,000.00 (ETB Three Hundred Fifty Thousand birr only) whereas for construction of block 2 building renovation works ETB 500,000.00 (ETB Five Hundred Thousand birr only) in CPO or unconditional Bank Guarantee for each lot.
6. Bidders should participate for only one bid/construction work.
7. The procuring entity reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
