INVITATION TO BID FOR PROCUREMENT OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS OF SUGALE

SMALL SCALE IRRIGATION PROJECT PROCURMENT REFERENCE NUMBER: SERS-ILADS-ILADB-001/16

 2. The SERS Irrigation and Lowland Arca Bureau invites eligible bidders for the construction of SUGALE SMALL SCALE IRRIGATION PROJECT

3.   All bids must be accompanied by a bid security for 120 calendar days in the form of either of an unconditional guarantee issued by a bank, or CPO in the amount as indicated in the table above.

4. The employer now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders with license grade: "WWC-5" or "WWC-5 WITH "GC" and Above for the execution and completion SUGALE SMALL SCALE IRRIGATION PROJECT, which is being bid as a unit price/admeasurement contract based on the bill of quantities.

5. This IFB is open to all eligible bidders who wish to participate Subject to the restrictions stipulated in the bidding document, eligible bidders may associate with other bidders to enhance their capacity to successfully carry out the works.

6. A contractor will be selected using the national competitive bidding (NCB) method in accordance With the PPA Procurement Guide lines.

7. Please note that a pre-bid conference will not be held as described in the Bid Data Sheet (BDS), Section III of the bidding document.

8. Bidders interested in submitting a bid shall purchase the bidding document against payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 300.00 (Three hundred birr) by giving full contact details of the bidder, to the following point of contact. This will ensure that the bidders receive updates regarding this bidding document.

9. Bidders who wish to participate in the bidding process should submit 1 (one) original and 2 (two) copies of separately sealed technical and financial documents all in one envelope to the address below before the bid submission deadline stated below

10. The deadline for submission of bids will be on the next day of after 28th day of the bid advertised date at 3:00 local time, and the bid shall be opened immediately thereafter at 3:30 local time on the same date. If the same day of opening is "holy day" or weekend (Saturday & Sunday) the bid opening will be on the working day.

11 Bidders should be aware that late bids will not be accepted under any circumstance and will be returned unopened at the written request and cost of the bidder. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of a bid securing declaration (as required) in the manner and amount specified in the Bid Data Sheet/ BDS/

12. Please not that electronic bids shall not be accepted.

13. The Bureau reserves the right to accept or reject parts of or the entire bid.
